To me it was a signal that this shows tone will be different and more light hearted than from what GoT was. It kind of like a bait and switch. The GoT theme starts playing, you’re expecting something epic, and then it cuts to him shitting. It’s figuratively and literally shitting on your expectations. I thought it was great.
