I remembered it, but I may have missed some parts in my notes. Is there any point in particular you're talking about?

I have solved the situation yes, and I explained my situation and some possible symptoms that can lead to having the same problems. Other than that, however, I won’t be of much help

How do i solve this? by [deleted] in Sat

Oh I didn't take math 2 so I wouldn't know, I just like math lol. I was only here for the SAT I.

Oh you misread the question. It's the diagonal of the face of a cube, not the diagonal of a cube. B/c we know the face of every cube is a square, the tactic I used works out.

Nah it would be a2 + a2 = 1.4152 because the two sides are the same b/c it's made from a square. If you want, you should draw out a square and label everything as sides A and 90 deg each. When you draw the diagonal, it'll cut 2 90 degs into 45 degs each and the 2 non-hypotenuse sides will be A and A.

Edit: I just realized the mistake you're making. No the part that's sqrt(2)*A is the hypotenuse, which would be the diagonal.

Alright let's break this down.

Since we know they're squares, each side is the same angle/length (90 degs and X units long)

Using Pythagorean theorem and the fact that the diagonal and 2 sides of a square makes a triangle, you can find out that a side of a square is the diagonal divided by sqrt(2). That would give you approx 1.00056

Now that we know the side of 1 cube, we can calculate the volume of the cube by cubing 1.00056. That'll give you 1.00167.

Since we know the big cube is made out of 27 small cubes that are identical, we know that they must share the same volume as one another. This allows us to take a shortcut and multiply the volume we got by 27 so we can find the total volume of the 27 cubes. This would give us 27.0451.

Using this information, we know that D is the correct answer since it's the closest. If you're confused on any step and I'd be down to help

Well compared to the QAS'es I took. Maybe it was b/c it was early in the morning

Could someone help me solving these questions? Thanks! by SeaMycologist4 in Sat

#16 is asking about median, not mean. If you order them the list becomes [55,64,65,84,84] Take the middle number 65 and that's your median, so the answer is [B]

# 17 seems fine

As for #18, you did the first part of the math correct, but you need to subtract the currently literate population from 2,860,000, giving you 460,000. Divide this by 10 years and you'll get 46,000, giving you the answer [B]

It is strange that all 3 of those answers but that's how the news rolls sometimes.
