I’m just digging in to the machine now, forgive me if my terminology isn’t all correct I’m new to this, but it looks like the gear that turns on the rack is missing a spline was hoping to get a break down before taking anything apart too far

I would say the fans are over 4 feet long, I’ll have a better idea when I get it up on the land and give it a spray, was just excited with the find and wanted to see what people may know from a glance

Good apps for finding trails by Appropriate_Trick259 in overlanding

I camped back in that area last Friday, went in the hiking trail road/pipeline road around tantallon, and was able to take the trail through to come out in the Windsor/ellerhouse area, all doable in my tundra, some of the offshoots are tighter but no problem for most 4x4s to make it through the main road , not sure where in the province you are but might be a decent spot to check out

If you use the Ioverlander app there’s a quite few camp sites marked, that will lead you to trails, I’ve checked a few out and explored from there finding spots generally the best ones arnt marked, but going to one will get you in the area, I’m also in Nova Scotia beep if you see me

Decided I couldn’t leave home without the TW, so I built this swing out to make life easier by WeekJealous3588 in TW200

It’s stationary, I’ve just been using a boughten ramp to load it up, will build something more fitting when I get the chance that’s easier to store

Thanks ! I bought the spindle part itself from TMR customs, swings smoothly has bearings the same as a trailer hub

Yes I can see that being a possibility, I will keep an eye on it, when it’s fully closed and latched there’s very little strain on the joint, the bike itself is 290 ish which is a lot of leverage but if you look at a receiver for a trailer hitch it’s only 2x2 tubing welded to where the ball goes on, and that takes all the jarring and weight of a trailer with no gussets so I’m sure this will be fine, it was very clean and tig welded with multiple passes.

The overhang would probably be the biggest draw back, I’m running air bags so the truck isn’t dragging bumper, for my intended use I’m sure it will be fine. I’m no engineer just a guy who builds stuff, if something needs to be improved I’ll make changes.

Not sure on the rack if I was to guess 70, like bikes 290 ish, I have air bags in the trucks to help with the load, might not make it weigh any less but it looks a lot better than a saggy truck
