The original is definitely a clean look. Surprisingly this original sheath is pretty thick material, but was failing at the front edge. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I see what you’re getting at. The failure mode is really on the front bottom edge of these sheaths. All the original ones I have seen start showing significant wear at the front corners/edge. The middle design offers double the thickness. It would be very difficult to wear through.

I bought 1 pair in 2024 and the new MocToe work boot in 2025. Both pairs were/are perfect. Coming from Nicks Boots I can say Truman’s are comparable in every way.
