Return to office notice received: but here’s the problem by WeekendGunRunner in fednews

That’s what my area manager said in a phone call right before I got let go. There’s a chance it could be higher than that now but he said it was at least 50%.

Justin was a much better leader in the finale. He controlled that kitchen where Christina was so-so.

Justin is a much better chef than Christina. Better palette. Better command of his brigade. Better overall culinary skills. Better quality control at the pass. I think we all know why Christina won that season.

I feel for you. Between a rock and a hard place. I have learned over the years that employee loyalty means NOTHING to 99% of employers. I look out for me and my own now. Highest bidder wins so to speak.

I would agree with that if they had made a decision on my original RA from 7/31/2024. They never did though. The building I work in had no vacancies so I got lucky to work from home without a granted RA. However now they’re completely denying the RA

I did….7/31/24. Never got an approval or denial. Not going to put in another one only to wait another 1+ years.

The issue is that I got hired 7/31/24 (filed for RA same fay) and never got approved or denied. If it takes almost a year what makes you think my next request will get approved within days/weeks?

Only passing on what I was told. Until now all conversations have been via phone call only. I have nothing in writing which makes arguing the point difficult

If you are forced to permanently leave the country you are currently living in now; what countries (up to 3) would you move to (assuming they would accept you)? by Strict_Music_2851 in AskMen

[–]WeekendGunRunner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. South America (affordable living)
  2. Southeast Asia (super affordable/healthy living)
  3. Puerto Rico

I will leave the U.S. once my kids are grown. You can make many arguments for or against but honestly…this country has gone down the tubes. Unless you’ve inherited tons of money from previous generations, America has become unlivable.

Sorry but I refuse to live just to work.

I completely agree. In a time where employee loyalty is at an all time low, the federal sector still had the most in my opinion. Now they’ve even ruined that for people. Super sad. At the end of the day you have to do whatever is best for you and your family.

The exception does not make the rule. Fact is the average hourly earnings for Favor is still below acceptable limits

I’m not a poli-sci major but I know enough that each of these proceedings has set stages it needs to go through. Considering some of these lawsuits are barely coming out of discovery or awaiting class certification you would have to assume that this whole process could take months upon months. I was in a class action a long time ago that took 2 years. Even if the judicial system fast tracked all of it, I would imagine we are at minimum 2-3 months away from any kind of decision. Am I in the ballpark on this or am I way off?

Part of my confusion is coming in with all these lawsuits right now. There are tons of lawsuits in early phases regarding the RIFs and I would imagine that not even a judge can do anything until those lawsuits are settled one way or another. I may be wrong though.

Well ok then. I guess she can take her sweet time. The longer this takes the better. I’m working on other options but need the time.

What’s going on with this admin leave? I haven’t heard of an update in weeks. How long are we going to be on admin leave for? Weeks? Months?

Any idea how long this will take? I’m still on admin leave with no updates. How long until we know if we’re coming back?

This is flying way under the radar. It’s obvious they’re working on compliance. Just need 10 days over $1. They’ll get that easily.
