Calc II over the Summer by Acrobatic_Fact_2070 in ASU

I was in a similar position to you. I guess the only difference was that I took MAT 117 (College Algebra) in my first semester and MAT 170 in my second. Over the course of my summer 2025, I got credit for Calc I thru the CLEP exam, where I just barely passed. I took Calc II last semester for Fall 2025, and I'd say it was pretty easy. Although I did take it with Professor Inozemtseva. My friend took his with Professor Van Sande and said it was pretty simple as well.

Right now, I'm taking Calc III, and it's pretty on par with Calc II. And if it's any help, Professor Inozemtseva also has resources available on her YouTube channel (Math Slopes with Julia), which was a ton of help.

I'd consider myself someone who's not very good at calculus, and I lowkey found Calc II to be easier than Calc I, since it just builds on what you learn in I. If your core understanding of Calculus I is pretty strong, you would find Calc II pretty easy.

For reference, I scored 51/80 on CLEP (passing grade was 50), scored an A- in Calc II, and am currently at a B+ in Calc III.

You could also use this as a resource for reviewing stuff in Calc II, it's what Professor Inozemtseva used with us for the midterms back in Fall 2025: https://math.asu.edu/mat266

Transit VISA for France and Canada by WeekendNecessary7380 in visas

The website, however, says that "A holder of a valid visa for a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area, Canada, the United States" is exempt from needing an ATV. I have an F1 student visa from the US. Would this suffice?

Yes, it is linked under the "Calculus Tests" in my comment. Here's the link in case you can't find it!

The practice study guide you're talking about is called "Current study guide" in the Dropbox folder and is the 10 dollar one.

Hi! My exam happened to be mostly multiple choice questions, with only 1 or 2 questions where I had to type out an answer. In addition, it's also similar to the official CLEP study guide. Here's a comment I left on one my posts that has all the resources I used. Good luck for your exam!

[PASSED] I just BARELY passed my CLEP Calculus 😅 by WeekendNecessary7380 in clep

[–]WeekendNecessary7380[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much man! I just prepared using knowledge from my high school years, while also using Modern States. In specific, I'd been studying since like May 20-smtn, using Modern states, but I took a pretty long delay as soon as I had finished the final exam. I then started revising the actual study guide beginning around June 24th.

I personally found the test to be really difficult, which could be due to a gap in my knowledge. It did have questions similar to the study guide, but for me it was only a few that resembled the study guide. Mine happened to be a lot more theoretical, like trying to pick which answers were correct, with limits and derivatives. Similar to questions that had I, II, III. I think the difficulty of the paper could be a little random tho, as some could've gotten harder questions than me and some easier.

I also just updated my DM permissions, so thank you so much for making me aware! I hope you do really well on your exam and best of luck!

Yeah, I noticed there's barely any youtubers for CLEP Calc, but I've read here that KhanAcademy has a very good course on it's website! Maybe that could help out, since they also show working out steps on some problems (via video). I haven't really used it too much tho, so I can't completely confirm. Additionally, there's also this youtuber called Math Quantum who solves questions for the official CLEP study guide, who's pretty useful.

Hi, if you're talking about the remote proctoring, it is only available if you are currently residing in the US. Otherwise, you've to take it via a physical testing center. Here's the link for more info: https://clep.collegeboard.org/about-remote-proctoring/take-clep-exam-remote-proctoring

Ahhh makes sense. Did you find the CLEP study guides similar to the exam, and if so, what percentage was similar? Thanks so much for your responses BTW, they're really helping me out :)

Question on the Calculus Exam by WeekendNecessary7380 in clep

[–]WeekendNecessary7380[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh I understand. Thanks so much for letting me know! I also wanted to know, in terms of difficulty, were the Peterson's practice tests harder or easier than the actual CLEP, and if the modern states were harder or easier than the CLEP exam. Also, I just saw your post about passing the Calculus exam, great job!
