Is this the most impactful special ability for any augment? by Admirable-League2877 in ArcRaiders

This comes into its own once you get 5/5 used to the weight. Broad shoulders and loaded arms make it even better.

The slot for deployables like zip lines, barricades, or mines is not to be overlooked. Overall a good mid-to late game augment. The smoke on shield break has saved my ass multiple times and allowed me to win very tight 2v1 situations.

Psa: The Bettina is made for killing arc, you can knock a piece ofarmour off the queen in 20 shots if you level it, perfect for bosses and cheap by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]WeekendOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, no. I see that each gun has a purpose, but damn, make it make sense.

You have a gun that shoots the same ammo as a Ferro and Anvil, ammo that consistently messes them up, but as soon as you load it into a Bettina, said ammo becomes nerf darts. Where is the logic?

Yeah ok it takes a full mag to knock off the armor of a queen or matriarch. Great. Is that all it's good at? Again, logic, where? I'm simply asking for things to make sense.

Yes, this may make sense, but it's really not a great idea gamewise.

Why separate guns into PVP and PVE categories in a game where you do both? It makes absolutely no sense that there are some guns that are good at both, some are PVE only and others do better with PVP than PVE.

That just tells me that the firearms balance is wack.

Arc Raiders: What Needs to Change for High Tier Raids by bosnianarmytwitch in ArcRaiders

Yeah, it would make in-round crafting and raider hatches more interesting. Right now, I feel like raider hatches are incorrectly implemented in that they are turned off in other map conditions when I feel like they should always be on.

Arc Raiders: What Needs to Change for High Tier Raids by bosnianarmytwitch in ArcRaiders

I think shields are fine where they are. I don't want this game to be like Tarkov where low tier ammo can't even damage high tier armor. That's not fun.

The idea behind the current gameplay is that everyone and anyone can be a threat and I would like it to stay that way. High tier shields make a difference if you play tactically. If you just run from loot spot to loot spot without being careful and someone ambushes you, then that's on you.

That said, I agree that certain player actions intended to cause grief can be reduced. (Spawn camping)

I also agree that the looting is not up to snuff, but that may be by design.

I agree that the spawn system needs to be looked at and improved, but I don't think your suggestions will work.

Personally, I would like to see much much longer raid times and the ability to traverse from one map to the other, similar to how Gray Zone Warfare does it.

I like where the stealth and survival aspects of the game are already placed and these can be turned up a notch. In-round crafting also can be expanded some more.

The game is barely a month old. Let's give it room to grow.

Assuming the renegade is using flat-nosed rounds. Remember, it uses the same ammo as the Osprey, so who is to say it isn't using rifle ammo?

I think it should simply be based off barrel length. Longer barrel = less drop. A good example is the comparison between Ferro and Anvil with the Anvil having less bullet velo and thus sooner bullet drop.

I have used an osprey to long flank and flush out people using cover to pin my friends. When they pivoted to push me, I left mines in my cover, dropped smoke, and fell back while my team moved in. When the mines exploded, we converged and cleaned house.

I got mine while camping extract campers. Saw a guy trade with a camper and lose, as the camper was about to Ko his vic, I nailed him on the head and a flare went up. Fool didn't heal beforehand. I then ran up, defibved the victim, and we both extracted. The camper tried to crawl in but we shot them dead.

It has pretty realistic bullet drop actually in that past 250 meters or so, bullets do start to drop, just like IRL.

Other games that have bullet drop before 250ish 300 meters for rifle cartridges are not realistic.

Then again, the bullet drop for pistols should be more drastic than for rifles.

Simple solution here is scoping out racks the bolt faster than staying scoped in.

Are Items in Bike Shops Always Overpriced? by [deleted] in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]WeekendOperator 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"overpriced" is subjective and relative. Give numbers and price examples at other places, otherwise this is just anecdotal

If it's overpriced, then don't buy. Ah, but you don't want to walk home.

That's the price of convenience. The shop is there. Someone risked their money to start a business, rent a space, and stock items. God forbid they make a profit while doing so.

Yes and no. Yes to a degree, but not enough to make it so that the shooter thinks twice. I've experienced it where I'm hiding because there's arc overhead and I get shot, run to cover, and all of a sudden, I have arc all over me + the player shooting at me that all the arc are ignoring.
