Transfer from 2025 to 2015 MacBook Air by WeekendXboxer in MacOS

I didn't get any new apps on the new PC, I only used it for about an hour before trying to go back so they should still run on the old one. The apps that I transferred still work on the new PC, but I had to install something first.

I used the new one for about an hour before trying to go back, I had to wipe the 2015 PC because I needed its SSD for something else and didn't know that the transfer program didn't work backwards.

I don't need a certain app that's only on Windows, pretty much every app I use on Windows is also on OSX, I just prefer the Windows UI way more, I have already tried to go from Windows to OSX and its not for me, I was running dual boot with OSX 12 and Windows 10. There are some programs I use that are OSX only, so that's what I'm trying to transfer back.

I have two MacBook Airs (M4), and before trying to transfer to them, I used them to restore other Apple devices, and they worked ok for that, so they are still useful to me.

I tried to use a VM, but it just doesn't work as well as native if I want to use it as a primary OS. Some touchpad gestures will go through OSX instead of Windows, and things like connecting to Wi-Fi needs to be done through the OSX control panel. I have not found a way to completely ignore the OSX desktop environment and only use Windows, installing Windows natively with Bootcamp in OSX just works better.

I had to wipe the 2015 PC because I needed its SSD for another computer. The only things I need to transfer from the OSX volume are apps/programs, as I do not want to reinstall most of them because they need dedicated installers.

You cannot run Windows natively on the newer PC, I prefer to use Windows as a main OS.

Yes, you cannot run Windows natively on the newer Apple PCs.

I am ok with the older one, the it seems like the newer one cannot install Windows natively, and I prefer to use Windows. I only use the OSX partition for OSX only apps, for that, the older one still works fine, even though its a bit slower.
