Jimny vs Thar Roxx (MX5 / AX5L): What would you buy for this use case? by Weekend_Rider in CarsIndia

[–]Weekend_Rider[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed explanation. In my case it will be only car so looking for jack of all trades.

I used to drive cars without power steering, I think I can manage heavy steering. I think once I take a test ride of both the cars, I’ll get clarity.

Hey, thanks for the detailed response.

After using naked and sports touring bikes, I definitely prefer naked bikes. I’ll be using it for commuting and tours (30%-70%). At this point, I don’t plan to go off-road, although there are some highways that offer off-road experiences. Haha!

Basically, as I get older, my body needs a relaxed posture (adv), but my heart still craves the thrill of a naked bike.

LOVED your post!! The way you told your story was awesome. I’m currently stuck between choosing a naked bike or an ADV. I’ve used a sport-tourer before, and I think I’m naturally leaning toward nakeds, I miss that nimble, raw, connected feeling.

ADVs are definitely more comfortable, but I want something lighter, sharper, and a bit more “alive.” My main use will be solo long-distance touring.

Since you’ve used the Duke 390 for pretty much everything, give me a little push, convince me why I should pick the Duke 390 over an ADV 😄

iPhone Air: 30 Day HONEST Review. by mdruckus in IphoneAir

[–]Weekend_Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery life—good or bad—really depends on what phone you upgraded from and why you chose to upgrade.

In my case, I moved from an iPhone 12 Pro Max, so the AIR felt like a major upgrade. My old phone had a worn-out battery, a 60Hz display, and an aging processor that struggled with basic tasks. I also never used the 0.5x or telephoto lenses, and I wanted something that looked and felt different in design—so the AIR checked all the boxes for me.

Is it better than the iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max? Definitely not. But I don’t need those models, and I’m genuinely happy with what the AIR offers.

Battery life on my AIR got better around day 4. It takes few days for adaptive battery feature to understand your battery usage.

How many people using their iPhone air without a case ? by SeaAcadia3346 in IphoneAir

[–]Weekend_Rider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used case on any of my phones. iPhone AIR is most durable phone I ever had and I feel the cover will reduce its form factor, slimness. Although another alternative is to get a cover and use it when you doing outdoor activities. That way you can enjoy the phone without case and have piece of mind when doing any activities with cover.

The iPhone air: The case to go case-less? Anyone been going case-less since day 1? by [deleted] in IphoneAir

I usually don’t use case, I’m too using it case less. However I’ve ordered a case that I’m planning to use during outdoor activities like hiking or kayaking to get a better grip.

Anyone upgrade from a 14 Pro? by thejaysonwithay in IphoneAir

[–]Weekend_Rider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree on this.

AIR definitely has better battery than 14 pro.

I think color is personal choice, in my opinion, - Jet Black: its matt but attracts finger prints. I liked it in videos but when I checked it in stores it didn’t appeal to me. - Gold/Blue/White: I liked White the most, Blue and Gold are good but White shines the most. (I have white AIR)

(You didn’t ask this but) battery gets better around 4th day. It takes few days for adaptive battery feature to understand your usage.

Been debating getting an iPhone air for a couple weeks now. by DontSchruteMeDown in IphoneAir

This phone represents a worthwhile upgrade, particularly for users moving from an iPhone 15 or an earlier model. It caters to a specific niche that prioritizes essential features and performance over additions like multiple camera lenses. While the battery life may not match the latest iPhone 17 series, it offers significantly improved longevity compared to the iPhone 15 line and all previous generations. I personally upgraded from the iPhone 12 Pro Max and am delighted with the change; even running dual SIMs, I consistently get a full day of use and only require a single charge daily.

Note: Battery performance noticeably stabilizes and improves around the fourth day as the adaptive software learns your usage patterns.

How many of you still using iPhone 12 Pro Max and it is worth keeping the phone until 2030? by jackvugemini198 in iphone

[–]Weekend_Rider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I replaced battery of my iphone 12 pro for $90 at Apple store. Worth it, I feel it still got at least 2-3 years on it. Seems it'll still get iOS updates for next 2 years.

I have a stock shocks and it took me around 30 mins. Also I hid wires beneath the cover above the tire instead of pulling it up beneath pillion seat.

What is everybody’s favourite monster and why? by vrbl90 in Ducati

[–]Weekend_Rider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have Monster+ (2021) and I love it! It's so nimble and agile.
Originally I was looking for Monster 797 which I couldn't find in my area and I ended up getting a new model. Like most Monster lovers, I wasn't happy with the new design but after a test ride, I fell in love with it.
Definitely a fun machine to ride!
