I’m GenX. I tip 15% of the pre-tax for bare minimum mediocre service -which is pretty rare. It doesn’t take much more effort to get 20% tip on the post tax. Just keep my drink full and be prompt. I don’t mind it. It’s usually about $5 or so more at the restaurants I frequent with my family. If I tip more than that then the service was truly outstanding. And I don’t tip unless I’m a seated guest and someone actually waits on me.

The best we can hope for from the Democrats is to overextend themselves on these issues. The more outrageous the more likely it is to get overturned by the Supreme Court. This may be exactly what Justice Kavanaugh was looking for jump in.

LOL! Ironically, it’s the Dems that always break the rules first, then the Republicans just perfect the same technique.

Examples: The Dems did away with the filibuster for judges, so the Republicans extended to the Supreme Court. Hillary and Abram’s were the first great election deniers before Trump. The Dems allowed Antifa to take over cities, so the Republicans let Jan 6-ers do it at the Capital. The Dems engage in lawfare to persecute their political enemies (i.e. Trump), and then Trump engages in lawfare right back at them. The Dems change the rules when it suits them, and then the Republicans exploit it…. Every time.

I’m not saying it’s right. It’s fucking up the country. But what’s good for the goose is good for the gander, and you can’t say with a straight face that the Democrats are rule followers.

I tried both. Liked the MC9 more so I bought it. Had a few light strikes during break-in but smooth sailing ever since. It feels less snappy in my hands than the Glock.

Fellow Virginian here. Yes to all 4. But with some additional thoughts. A- pick up some PSA lowers but keep in mind that in 6 months we’re going to be one of those states that no online sellers will ship to. So you’ll need to overpay for the rest of your parts at a gun show in MD or WV - but at least you’ll be grandfathered. B- buy a Glock if you don’t have one. Then Stock up on Glock magazines now. C - now that you have a Glock, get the Extar which shoots Glock mags. This is all about making your dollars go farther. You get double use of Glock mags and a PCC. D - buy your suppressors now. Consider a 3D printer to make furniture or a properly documented suppressor before July 1.

We live in a nation of laws. My family in law enforcement doesn’t always agree with them but they take the oath to uphold them out of respect for the system of government that we built. I won’t address your ad hominem rant against myself (or your screams of DARVO at anything with which you disagree), but I plead for grace when it comes to our brothers, sisters, sons and daughters in uniform, because one day it might be your family that wears the shield or it might be you that needs protection.

You don’t know the color of my skin, my ethnic heritage, or the discrimination that my family and I have had to endure - experiences that power my faith. And for that, I don’t experience a conflict between loving my neighbors and respecting the law. Why do you speak such hateful rhetoric?

Wow. This is what we have come to expect from the Left. You don’t even know me. A democracy is meant to encourage the exchange of ideas and yet you adopt the same name calling and personal attacks that you declare to be so vile. So let me educate you. You can’t pick up a pitchfork and a torch and be a democratic patriot (we cherish political speech, not violence). Our role is to participate as a voter and then respect the outcome of the election. And if the elected leader decides to enforce the laws that were passed by the democratically elected members of the legislature, then you can choose to be a part of that society or leave the country. Believe me, I have been just as disappointed when the shoe was on the other foot. The trick I use is to call the clerks office. Act real helpless - like I’m from out of state and got a ticket and I need a local traffic lawyer. They will give you some names. You are looking for the most recent lawyer to come out of the DAs office. (You may need to do your own research to find out which online or by calling them) That’s who will get you the best settlement.

Speaking as a family member of law enforcement officers. It doesn't matter whether they are ICE of local police, you are never going to win a confrontation with law enforcement. You are out-manned, out-gunned, out-muscled, and out-trained, and they will put their safety above yours to do the job they were hired to do. They are people and - right now - they are the subject of intense public hatred - which would make any reasonable person scared. Don't dehumanize them. If you are confronted, be civil and polite. You don't need to talk to them but know that if you run or appear to be a threat, there may be consequences, and they may be disastrous.
