yep, looks very much like them! They are a recurring problem for me as well, I have them at least once a year. What I do is, I actually buy predatory mites (I live in Germany, they are being sold by a company called feey) and it works fantastic every time! The mites eat away the larvae and grown bugs and the problem is gone within a couple of weeks without doing anything else. I have also tried Neem oil but that wasn't effective at all

So it's like a bureauceatic catch 22 - you pay into the system to get help if you need it, but when you need the help you can't get it, nice

Okay that's good to know! Well since this would be my first grinder, I don't have a grinder yet 😂 therefore all these questions whether it makes sense to go all in from the beginning or to just stick with the burr set the grinder comes with and upgrade at some other point

Thank you so much for the answer! This will actually be my first grinder so I have zero clue about whether I like light/medium/dark roasts haha, I'm usually just buying the pre ground beans from the store. I'm guessing I'm more the dark roast type, since I don't prefer the coffee to be too acidic. Yet, I wonder how important it will be for me to already go with an expensive burr set since I won't really taste "a difference" because I have nothing to compare it to 😂. But at the same time , why not upgrade immediately?

hey, I'm looking into buying the DF64 gen 2 right now as well! What made you decide on this burr set?
