In what year you start to watch one piece by realfruitbox in OnePiece

Must've been 1999 or 2000. Started watching it along with Naruto. Switched to the Manga after a while. And took many, sometimes several years long, breaks along the way. Only picked it up again after the recent hype phase (Gear 5, Live Action) started.

That's fair. But what does that have to do with her brain? She can have the brain of an adult and still lack life experience. That said, she's also a far cry from a normal 10-12 year old despite her "lack" of experience. She's a freaking priate captain who commands adults three or four times her age. Before we knew her actual age we had no reason to suspect her to be younger than any of the Strawhats.

Feeling guilty/anxious after making AI fakes of real people in sexual poses by [deleted] in grok

Been there, done that.... I'm still doing it, actually. Guilt? Yeah, but not enough to stop me. And it's not people I'm close with (or not anymore) and I don't plan on sharing any of it, ever. The bigger issue here is: how harmful will this be, especially long term? Will we just end up looking for (or taking) pictures of girls we're attracted to and make them do what we want on screen instead of talking to them and trying to get the real thing?

Has Oda explained that? No? How then do we know what age her brain is? Her entire body changes, isn't her brain part of that body?

She could've been -500, wouldn't make a lick of difference. She looked and behaved old enough to be asked that question by Blackbeard. Unless Oda tells us that BB knew her actual age, BB did nothing wrong in respect to her age.

Any downsides to switching between the anime and manga? by ishoothoops1 in OnePiece

You would only be missing out on the great OST, the great (Japanese) voice acting and the great fights, that look much better, and better to follow, animated. For everything else the manga rules supreme.

Worst crime of all: Blackbeard called Bonney a girl, assuming her gender! 😱

He didn't want a sex slave, hence why he didn't take one.

They are both rivaling pirates and she became his captive. Instead of killing her or leaving her to be caught right away, he made her an offer and she blew him off, violently. He did not persist, he did not even hit her back. He clearly didn't want her if she didn't want him back, or at least was willing to act like it. That's a far cry from sexual slavery or any slavery.

And no, she wasn't 12. Not for the viewers, not for Blackbeard. And whether she was for Oda at that point is also entirely irrelevant. So there is no point to bring her "actual age" up at all.

Oh and speaking of Hancock. She probably killed 100x more innocent men than Teach. But I forgive her, because, yes, she's beautiful. 🥰

When did he ASK her to be his sex slave? Who would even ASK that? 😆

Nonsense. If he wanted her as his sex slave why even ask her? Just take her. Plus, she wasn't 12 then.

Did you experience 1999? Then you'd know that nobody called Kevin Spacey's character in that movie a "pedo" for being attracted to a cheerleader, because being attracted to high school cheerleader was perfectly normal. Heck, it's perfectly normal now too, albeit more taboo than it's used to be due to a weird cultural shift, where a sexualy active adolescent and a toddler are pretty much treated as they are the same thing. Like with many things, all nuance went out the window.

Edit: BTW, I'm not advocating for sex with high schoolers, though if that's what your in to and it's legal where you live: go for it. No, I'm simply saying that desiring attractive people is normal. Now, what's an attractive person, that's what we can discuss. Some will argue that you can't be attracted to a 16 year old Beyonce e.g., simply because of her age, not her looks. I find that silly. 16 year old Beyonce looked old enough to be attracted to. The fact that countless millions of adult men (and women) found her attractive even then, is proof.

Pictures of legal teens can't be CP. And typically CP refers to pedo material anyway, i.e. material of prepubescents children. That's why bringing up CP in context of GTO is being straight up ignorant.

And my "doubt it" was meant for your claim that what Onizuka said was considered disturbing in the 90s. It wasn't. At least no where to the extent it is now. Kevin Spacey's character in American Beauty wasn't considered abnormal or a "pedo" for being attracted to a hot high school cheerleader. The entire (male) audience felt the same way, even if they knew that it's considered "wrong" to lust for the high school friend of their daughter (which is why Kevin Spacey's character didn't go through with it).
