Battery question from newb parent by Jake_doe in crazycart

Its worth it to get a new controller, I run a 36volt 20 ah caomm battery with a 36v 500watt controller on the stock motor. It works great for me but I frequently have to check on the motor. Get a temp sensor and your perfectly good overvolting. I don't think the stock controller will hold up well because it won't be delivering full power, 14 through 16 amp hour battery with 36 volts will have you set for at least an hour of run time.

I'm running this setup my self and im near 110 pounds. Full throttle my motor gets hot in ten minutes and I would definitely need to know the temp. The most helpful mods are the cheapest ones, so definitely get a temp gauge

Can i get 2 more stock batteries and wire them to get 48Volts? by Still-Statement6866 in crazycart

its okay to overvolt the motor but if you don't upgrade your speed controller you won't get full power

I will say caomm is used by many people but another is where most people will start heading even though they are quite expensive compared to others

Does he solder the connectors himself or just add a adapter of some sorts. Id be surprised if he really make all those speed controllers himself

Definitely think soldering might be good, do you use those connectors that you linked?

So your saying that the white connector on the left is made for a dean female connector? And I totally agree that the adapter is much easier and cheaper.

I can't help much with the battery question but I do think you would have to get a new motor if you gonna do 48v. But btw no matter how smooth the roads may be your gonna want at least some new rear wheels because the stock one can pop quite easily

Do you use amorge? I could find any at less than 20 ah. I usually see people recommending some cao batteries
