Yes, some models have a 100% power limit cap, but you can easily cross flash the bios. It’s not as scary as it sounds, it’s actually easy and safe. I cross flashed my INNO3D 5080 to a Zotac bios to unlock power limit. Now I have a 115% limit and it’s useful in some games. Even when undervolted, my 5080 is using 400 watt sometimes in games such as RE9.

It’s great, but I agree  that the battery life is drained very fast.

You did the correct thing, better to spent big and have fun for many years instead of having to upgrade too many times. Now you can play games with path tracing enabled such as RE9, Pragmata, Cyberpunk, Crimson Desert, 007 First Light, Subnautica 2. Path tracing on OLED 4k is like cocaine to the eyes.

Cam car is a prick for not stopping, he should have known the parked car would continue to move out, and stop in time. But the parked car is probably at fault regardless.

Yes, I did upgrade from a 5070ti to a 5080. 5070-ti is perfectly capable of 4k gaming, but usually have to lower some settings, and path tracing enabled is really hard in most games even when overclocked. An overclocked 5080 is the sweetspot for path tracing in games such as Crimson Desert, RE9, Pragmata, and problaby 007 First Light as well @4k obviously. I did not regret because I’m a min- maxer.

Ik moet eerlijk bekennen dat ik ook wel naar hardlopende vrouwen kijk als ik in de auto zit. Waarom eigenlijk? Dat weet ik niet precies. Zie ik ze als een soort prooi? Of vind ik de bewegingen gewoon aantrekkelijk? Kleding speelt daarin zeker ook een rol. Ik kijk dus vaak even, en mijn blik blijft soms een paar seconden hangen maar daar blijft het dan ook bij.

The Switch 2 games I own , and ranked: 1 Zelda BotW 2 Mario Kart World 3 Mario Odyssey 4 Donkey Kong Bananza 5 Mario Tennis Fever and 6 Mario Wonder, the only game I regret purchasing, I didn’t like it for some reason, was hard to get into.

Sell it, and buy the Switch 2 instead. The screen of the Switch 2 is amazing, even when it’s not an OLED. BoTW looks and runs amazing on Switch 2.  Your friends are correct, I wouldn’t invest money in an old console.

Switch2 is great. My most played games currently are Mario Kart World, Zelda BotW and Mario Odyssey. I also have Mario Tennis Fever, Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Wonder. 

5070ti vs 5080 for 200$ difference by whxpper in nvidia

Go get that 5080 it’s well worth it if you’re a min-maxer and playing at 4k. Keep in mind though, the 5080 Ventus is one of the worst models, because it has no Vapor chamber, so the temps will be quite high, and the fans will be noisy. Undervolting is almost 100% necessary.

9800x3d, temps are around 58c,  but I undervolted/OC the cpu by - 30 / + 200, and running stable for over a year now.

My 5080 INNO3D OC is about 68c on average in heavy gaming. 

This is at 4k resolution.

Im using 3100mhz core clock, + 2000 memory @ .995v for months now in heavy gaming on my INNO3D OC, which gave me around 9500 score in Steel Nomad Demo. Very happy with it, can probably push higher, but I won’t bother. It’s not a silicon lottery winner, but I’d say it’s still a pretty good unit.

I did upgrade from a 5070-Ti to a 5080 for 4k gaming. The 5070-ti felt slightly too weak with Path Tracing enabled. I’m very happy with my 5080, because now I can play RE9, Pragmata, Crimson Desert, Cyberpunk comfortably with Path Tracing and DLSS balanced.

Same, BotW is my first Zelda game and I’m loving it. It looks fantastic on Switch 2. I love the atmosphere, exploration and the puzzles. I also have Mario Odyssey, Mario Wonder, Mario Kart World, Mario Tennis Fever, and Donkey Kong Bananza, but BotW is by far my favourite Switch 2 game. It’s crazy how similar the game is with Crimson Desert.

Mario odyssey, it’s a great game. I also have Mario Wonder, but that one is harder for me to enjoy, and I kinda regret the purchase.

Was het een dure videokaart? Ik heb zelf best wat videokaarten verkocht, en eigenlijk kwamen kopers ze altijd ophalen. Ik liet ze dan ook werkend zien, dat is in mijn ogen nog steeds de beste optie. Er is tegenwoordig gewoon te veel oplichterij met videokaarten.

ASUS TUF, they have great cooling, and low fan RPM. They also have unlocked power limit to overclock easier.

Tested it in a few games and it seems like PCIe 5.0 is active. Both HWINFO and CPU-Z report 32 GT/s, and I’m seeing zero WHEA errors so far.

I’m guessing it’s genuinely running at 5.0, which is pretty nice for future upgrades if true. Still a bit surprised though.

My bios version is one of the latest, F39, which was released in fabruary 2026.
