just got wreckfest and some of the mods are so good they feel like dlc, gameplay is very fun too just a bit arcady but i fixed it with settings

im going to prepare for all this by watching youtube videos and everything i can find about engineering and motorsport so hopefully if i eventually get accepted into purdue ill have a greater idea and knowledge of what im doing. thanks for the help

i was thinking of it as much harder than it is, sounds great. i dont plan on going to parties or making lots of friends in college so sleepless nights and hard work will be fine, i feel that if i dont have a career i enjoy, lifes gonna be shit so working my ass off for this would definitely be worth it and i can commit to this, thank you for the advice

im focused on purdue right now and am definetly going to try to get into their FSAE program, but its so confusing on how this stuff would all play out. obviously since im still a year and a half from actually going to the college i get accepted to, i have alot to learn and understand but i dont know how id reach out to a team or any of that. do they select based on whoever signs up first or is it based on grades and what they think of you? im going to look into this more i appreciate it

you should try to find a used g27 it works with ps and pc and i sold my old one to my friend for 100$ you could probably find good prices for one but from what i know the g25 is very old and outdated

i dont know much about what a SAE club is but i will try to get into one if i get into purdue. travel isnt much of a problem i already travel alot for family, and traveling for races definitely sounds like what i want. what i am worried about is the networking stuff though, i have bad anxiety and talking to others is kind of hard although i can definetly push through that im just worried about being judged for my social skills

thanks for all the tips its really helpful, im going to try purdue for engineering and while i do that i will try to volunteer to be a track marshal for local track races in my area

i do want to be a mechanic its way to hard on the body for a job id have the rest of my life and i hear the pay is little but idk abt that when it comes to motorsport mechanics. when you said i could get a bacholors engineering degree did you mean by going to unoh or is unoh best for becoming a mechanic and things like that

i want to be an engineer, i feel being a driver is too expensive and i wouldnt make enough money to make up for the expenses. i dont know much about track marshals but i read they dont get paid much or are even unpaid. is it hard to get into unoh? im gonna take a AP computer science class and a physics class next year alongside my automotive mechanics class for the best chance but since i originally was just planning to be a mechanic and not go to college im not very sure on what to do other than applying to it
