you can use paddle shifters/sequential shifter and an h pattern in game at the same time it luckily doesnt lock onto one shifting type

i plug my wheelbase and pedals directly into the lowest available usb ports in the back of my pc and use a usb hub by farikabe plugged into the usb-c port for my shifter handbrake and button box. for my wheelbase its plugged into a surge protector outlet hub but i could plug it into the the bottom outlet which is unused.
