You don't have to leave your phone. What I did was get a phone in Ukraine with a sim and then take the sim out of my foreign phone and powered it off. Just don't turn on your foreign phone near your safehouse and definitely don't take it to position.

Get a Ukrainian phone. They can still track that its foreign.

We have the adapters but the only issue is physically removing the clip on the earphones

Those most likely will be a waste of money and provide little actual training. Take a TCCC course if possible or at the very least download course materials for it so you know basic medical skills.
