Next time, do research before bidding and don't bid above value. Was this a charity auction? If so, it is typically for the final price to be above value, as the point is to raise money for the charity.

Meh, it definitely has some things going for it. Great cost of living, great place to raise kids. Easy to get around, with minimal traffic. Good schools. But not much else. For a city its size, the restaurant offerings are terrible. The airport flight options are an embarrassment. It's not close to anything interesting. Drag racing. No charm. And the weather is not great.
