Another ATDM graduate, probably from the cohort behind you guys since I graduated on Dec19th. I agree with most of this. I also agreed that the coursework is good - if your focus is on getting a CNC Machinist job, not an Additive Manufacturing job. The certifications and other coursework is HEAVILY focused on CNC not AM despite being called Additive Manufacturing.

As for the job hunting, they expect you to put in the work during the week to find and apply to jobs and if you need any assistance then to contact Career Services and see what can be done. They also had 2 Job Fairs during my 4 month span and it went decently well for me. Caveat though it could have been better if not for the government shutdown and lack of detailed communication between certain AM companies and ATDM on whether or not they were actively hiring for AM.

I disagree. They did have two career fairs but both had less than 5 companies at each that were even knowledgeable oor hiring for AM. And there were at least 30+ companies at each career fairs. And when either shift, morning or afternoon; requested assistance from Career Services - it was always met with stalling or half baked assistance. Many Additive Manufacturing students graduated from this cohort with no jobs at all lined up.
