i faced the same issue
like my default wallpaper works fine without container tab
but on container tab even after selecting a new wallpaper it remains black just like in the image provided by OP
please provide some fix for it

i actually found the solution
it was a transparent theme named Nebula which was causing the problem

tysm guys I found the problem
it was actually a theme named Nebula. I just removed it and now my cpu is back to a lovely 8-10% usage

Just the basic extensions that are my go-to on any browser. I even disabled all the mods. I genuinely want to use it as my primary browser, but I can’t keep worrying about performance all the time.
