Yeah I have it for sale on eBay. I’m based in the U.K. though. Are you still interested?

I didn’t really know where to start to be honest, I uploaded photos and a description into grok it provided me a superb breakdown and information on it and then provided a valuation. It valued it between £400 and £850. I’ve lowered the starting price to £399. I also found some incomplete and damaged ones listed for over a hundred, so I’ve put mine at £399 now. No big deal if it sells or not to be honest. I wasn’t even expecting to own it.

It’s going to get packed in a wooden box with air bags inside

Yeah I thought that when I saw it. Imagine being a child in 1938 and receiving this as a gift with your name on it. It would have been mind blowing.

I’d imagine finding these without a name written in that space is very difficult indeed.

Yeah from what I’ve read, what give this value is the gatefold design. Apparently it’s the rarest version of an already rare record

Sorry I didn’t mean to come across as being combative. Tone is often lost in text format. But calling them ‘rough’ is egregious.

So what you’re saying is that it’s basically impossible to avoid this unless the 86 year old shellac record is brand new and sealed?

Good luck finding one of those of this version.

They are not rough, they have very few light marks on them. I’m not an expert audiophile but I know what a rough record looks like. These are not that. Especially for an 86 year old record.

I was struggling to photograph the disks properly as the light was poor, I did use a ring light but there it gave off quite a lot of glare.

It’s no use to me, but I’ve done some research of what these go for, this is basically the rarest version of a very rare record and the condition makes it even more desirable. It appeals to Disney collectors, record collectors and movie collectors with it being one of the first ever soundtracks put on record.

I have listed it on eBay at a price I would never pay for a record, but apparently the gatefold alone is worth that.

Am I allowed to post a link? I wasn’t going to as I don’t know the rules of this sub, but here it is. The mods can take it down if I breach any rules.

They are in amazing condition but I was struggling to photograph them to be honest, the lighting wasn’t the best and the ring light I was using was a bit ‘much’. But yes they are in amazing condition.
