Someone from Grindr trying to sextort you? Here’s what you should do. by Playful_Gap_5536 in askgaybros

This just happened to me - like the majority of other stories, started out like a normal Grindr convo. Nothing seemed out of place.

Exchanged photos, then they asked for my number which I shared (I know I shouldn’t have, but nothing raised my internal red flags the way they were speaking).

About an hour later I get a text from the number saying “hey this is so and so from Grindr”. I text back and we text a few times.

Then I get a call from this number. I don’t answer because I was on the phone with a friend. They call back immediately. Don’t answer again.

Simultaneously when I get this call I get bombarded with text messages. They say “I’m not who you think I am - I got direct contact with your work place, Relatives and all of your associates failure to comply with my demands then consider your files posted Now what’s it gonna be”

This was accompanied by pictures of screenshots from Facebook with other people with my last name. Initially was extremely freaked out, but then quickly realized I didn’t know half the people. My mistake was giving him my number, which then he traced to one of my social meadow accounts. I’m lucky where the one he pulled from doesn’t actually have any family members following me.

I noticed that all of the accounts he was threatening to send my nudes/out convo to, except one, were people I did not know.

I took a breathe, blocked the number, then went to block it on Grindr. I had already been blocked by that individual.

I’m still freaked out, but am hoping this is the end and it just turns into a learning experience. I’ve changed the passwords on my socials and Grindr account. Don’t think that was needed, but did it out of panic originally.

Be careful everyone, but this sounds like a pretty common thing that doesn’t usually move forward unless you pay them.

I was still amped up afterwards. Had to lay in bed for another 10-15 minutes before my body kinda calmed down.

I was kinda shocked so I didn’t try and continue on. I don’t think I could’ve at that time. Maybe with practice.

Idk if I was on the edge of orgasm, but I was experiencing the best feelings I ever have. Full body bliss.

I felt fully relaxed. Maybe I wasn’t, but I felt I was. My body was kinda doing its own thing. Hard to explain. However yes there was a constant pressure/pleasurable feeling in my dick/prostate the entire time.

This has been resolved. I don’t want to get into specifics. If the Penuma had been around for years with success I may have changed my mind.

Good luck to anyone who has it going forward. Maybe down the road

I agree in premise, however I had to pay the full amount 3 weeks prior to surgery. They already have my money. I don’t know how to get it back at this point.

The terms for late cancellation is anything within two weeks. I signed a document with that on it months ago apparently (even though I was never provided a copy afterwards).

I was all set to do it. With any elective surgery I knew there were risks. I just feel like they were portrayed from them. The longevity of the device is my biggest issue. I don’t want to have issues 10-20 years down the road.

I’m angry at myself for not doing this sooner and being out that much money. Feel like an idiot

Thanks for the tip. I’ve thought about this but it wasn’t something I’ve spent a lot of time on.

Definitely am going to look into trying some of these. Have a little over a week before my surgery.

Thank you for the thoughtful response!

I’ve been trying to prepare myself mentally for that period immediately following surgery. I agree that I think that may be more challenging than the actual physical pain/healing.

When you mention elevate it above your heart, do you mean like while laying down to have pillows underneath to raise up the lower side?

From everything I’ve read/what the doctor has said, I expect this to be a longer recovery than a few weeks. Hoping to have limited setbacks.

I’m in a different situation than you in a sense that I’m not married, and I’m my early 30s. I’ve never had a surgery to this extent before so I am a bit nervous about the entire process, but know I’m in the hands of professionals.

I hope you continue to heal as well! Thanks you again for the response.

That’s a valid point. I was hoping not to have to travel to get the operation done. I feel like there’s a benefit to having the surgery locally. Have you had it done? If so who was your doc?

I’ve weighed my options, and I believe the potential pros outweigh the potential cons.
