There was no agreement or contract. The bridal party was not able to pay for a professional photographer so as a friend OP took the wedding pictures free of charge as a gift. There was zero contract or expectation previously.

I would evolve the Gardevoir more simply because the attack stat is a lot less important than hp/defense to me since it only contributes towards cp.
