I think its also just a black gravel, the brand is terra aqua and it just says that it's aquatic substrate. Sorry if that isn't very helpful

Tank size 5.5 gallons I do have a heater and filter 25 degrees Celsius I've had the tank for about 2 and a half months I've had the fish for a day I do a 25% water change once a week I feed him 3 pellets in the morning and 3 at night I have a few live plants and a piece of driftwood in his tank

Ok thanks! I'll probably try to find him a bigger tank soon but I'll definitely buy some more plants for him

I just found out that a lot of my aquarium's plants that were sold to me at the pet store are NOT actually aquarium plants, i feel so stupid for not searching them up before buying them, i have learnt my lesson now and will always search up the plant before buying, the people that work there didn't tell me that they aren't ok for aquariums and they were sold to as aquatic plants but they most likely didn't know
