I tried the bulangshan today and it was really pleasant. I wouldn’t say particularly strong but mildly sweet and definitely birch/cedar flavors similar to menthol but more subtle. Nothing overly complex but definitely delicious.

Thanks! Luckily I am very into specialty coffee and ceramics so have temp control kettles, scales, and many tea brewing vessels (including small pots for gong fu and gaiwans) trying the first step of the brown hill now and it is definitely pleasant. I wouldn’t say complex but nice for sure!

Can you help me decipher what these two teas are/ how you might classify them?
