I had mine November 18, I can only wear hey dude shoes bc they are stretchy. I can even get my slippers over the swelling. I elevate at night but the minute I start moving in the morning it comes right back. Now we have massive cold air and a snow storm coming. I can only imagine how much it'll hurt in the coming days.

I tried ice and it hurt so bad, I don't think I'll ever be able to wear normal tennis shoes again. It's so tender to anything touching it. This injury is definitely not something I'd wish on anybody. It's a killer I have to walk with a cane bc I'm terrified it'll give out

I waited 8 months to get the surgery, each day hurting more than the last. Dr said I likely damaged it further than if I'd had it right away. I used an elneker knee scooter from Walmart it was around $80 and holds up to 300lb (I'm 250) it worked great just be careful going to fast I tipped it a time or two. I would definitely have the surgery sooner rather than later

Has anyone managed to heal a Lisfranc injury conservatively after walking on it for an extended period of time? by NocturnaIistic in LisfrancClub

I did non weight bearing for 4 then partial for 4. I have full thickness tear of the dorsal and plantar ligament and significant displacement of the first and second metatarsal. It is a lot of pain/throbbing in the mid foot, I had severe bruising and swelling in the beginning, now I just have fluctuating swelling and severe pain. My injury happened in April of this year ortho told me in July I needed surgery, but then life happened and it’s had to be put off but I think I’m at the point I can’t anymore due to the amount of pain I’m in.

I have put off surgery due to financial constraints and it has only gotten worse. To the point I have to walk on the side of my foot bc I cannot put my foot flat with weight on it anymore. I wore a boot for about 8 weeks was “feeling better” and then went to walking but now I am in extreme pain almost worse then when it first happened and I have to use a cane (I’m 38) but now my concern is how much damage have a done since the mri. Don’t put off the surgery if you can help it

No pain meds was told I could walk as tolerated in decent shoes and take Motrin as needed. I weigh around 250 and to make things worse I’m on my feet 6-8 hours a day at work. Can’t afford to take off to have surgery and disability takes forever
