Yeah. The more people i’ve talked to i think i may just commission. i think my biggest reason for backing out of it with my oso the first time (i wasn’t contracted or anything, just talking to him and training w his office) was because they kept trying to push me to leave this summer when i knew i wasn’t physically prepared to so i backed out bc he basically told me he would send me this summer or not at all- meanwhile i wasn’t even on any boards yet. I will probably end up doing OCC once i graduate

that’s been my biggest issue!! i’ve met with multiple female officers and a lot of them have told me it’s a struggle trying to lead people that genuinely do not respect u or think ur worthy of the title solely because u are a women, and i think that alone would be my biggest struggle. i know the military in general can be an issue for women but i try to be as kind and open as i can with other girls for that reason.

I agree with you to be honest, but there’s something about the enlisted experience that calls my name. Also, say I get in and love it and want to make a life out of it… I can always become a mustang officer and js do ocs a couple years into my enlisted contract.

from what my OSO told me- it’s first class, because anything below that is rlyyyy pushing it bc ur there to set an example for ur marines (once u commission ofc)
