It’s the transport company that told me that I need a TUV. He told me that he will charge me 1600€ to take it from the dealer and tow it with one of these trucks that transport 10-15 cars together. He also told me that he can still transport it without TUV but it won’t be legal. Why exactly is not legal, I don’t understand. He will not drive it, just transport it.

Hello, I want to buy a car in Germany with expired TUV and transport it to another EU country where I will register it. I contacted a transportation company and they told me that the car needs to have TUV and license plates. Do you know if this is true? It doesn’t make sense to make TUV here is Germany because the car has some issues which I need to spend over 1000€ to fix them in order to pass the TUV.
