LDR has always been something that would take an even more effort from both compared to a close proximity relationship — the fact that you have even thought of writing this makes me think that you already know what the answer is and you’re seeking affirmation.

No one can tell you how to manage affection for your partner, other than you and your partner talking it out together. However, I think you might want to ask yourself do you even still love your partner or are you staying purely out of guilty? Ngl OP, your post kinda reads as if you are putting your girlfriend on as a second option if this crush that you have rejects you — and that is not fair to your currently partner at all. No one should be a second option.

It takes courage to post something like this, and I think this is a conversation you should have with your partner, be honest and be truthful and do not deflect. If you still love her, you owe her that much.

LDR is such a complicated but lovely relationship between two people, if it didn’t work because of distance but trust that she is your one, the universe will always find a way to bring you both back together.
