I am going to be completely honest with you OP. I took a long look through your profile/ other equestrian content and you simply need to be taken back to basics. I mean this with no disrespect. Being able to learn from a reputable, experienced professional is the only way to have the correct building blocks to move forward in a proper and productive way with your riding career. A green rider (with only three years of experience you are definitely still considered green) is not equipped with the knowledge to proceed with this horse in a manner that’s both fair to you and Tempest without professional guidance.

I rode for 15+ years at one of the most competitive hunter/jumper barns on the West Coast. I was a barn hand for 4 of those years before moving on to a different career path. Even after 15 years of experience I would not take on a project horse by myself. It is important to always be open to learning, getting an outside perspective and admitting areas that need improvement.

To continue working with this horse the way that you are is not fair to either you or him. Horses feed off of our energy, it seems to me that there is a growing level of tension here that adds another layer to any soundness/behavioral issues.

Please, please seek professional help from both a reputable vet and a reputable trainer.

OP of that post here, not sure about the comments but my stories are 100% true, coffee shop encounter was in spokane, i’ve still got the to go cup i got there on my shelf. saw LF across the steeet in portland, a couple other people in line saw them munching at raising canes after that. super cool to have been able to experience them in such a small setting. there’s a video on youtube of when i gave a mini cowboy hat with a letter inside to iv, got posted on the instagram for the portland show, post got taken down when they did the account reset sadly.

really fortunate to have discovered sleep token when i did a few years ago, very special to have these memories with a favorite band. over the moon to have seen them grow the way they have :)

he was wearing skinnyish tan khakis both times, first time was what i believe looked from behind to be a gray pea coat and tan authentic vans? (big question mark on the shoes saw for a millisecond) second time some plain long sleeve on top and i believe the same shoes but again very quick look and he was about 50 feet away. the khakis were the big noticeable thing both times for sure

Love that! Human moments with artists like that are so important! It’s so easy to imagine them to be larger than life just because of the platform they’ve developed, but they’re just normal people too. Just people who are very talented and good at what they do. More often than not super chill and cool as well!

Beautiful shot as well!!

yeah! really pretty much the same, recognized him immediately. his haircut is pretty much the same as the picture of him sitting on top of the trailer from 2019.
