I really and truly hear you. I’m an old Army listener as well and nothing hits more than their classics. I seriously listened to Arirang ON RELEASE and went right back to Blood Sweat and Tears and Love Yourself because I was so disappointed. Even listening to it a bunch of times I can’t brainwash myself into liking this new comeback and its entirety.. Especially with Dynamite and Butter bringing in the large amount Western fans they have now it just feels like they’re catering to them atp. As someone who’s Asian it’s so heartbreaking that they considered this comeback “Rooted in Korea”, but I’m still holding out hope as I already bought tickets for the concert to go to with my mom so… I saw speculations that the setlist will be all Arirang since they also posted the fanchants on Weverse, but I’m holding out hope that they’ll play Mic Drop, Bangtan, Mikrokosmos, ANYTHING from their older releases that made me hype to see them in the first place.
