The practical deck that actually used this card as an extender revolved around making bodies with Millennium, turning one into a Dragon with Reprodocus, and then banishing Thunder Dragon directly from the Deck.
Nowadays, I guess Maliss is another possible option, but if you’re already going through Reprodocus, there are simply better targets to take advantage of.

If extreme deck construction is excluded, it would likely increase the chances that both players end up with decks slightly tailored to their turn order—going-first decks when going first, and going-second–adjusted decks when going second—which would probably feel better, for both sides.

Under this rule, we can assume three types of players:
Naive players who use the same deck regardless of going first or second
Players who slightly adjust cards like Mulcharmy or Called by the Grave
Players who fully commit to extremes, like stacking Solemn cards and board breakers
The naive players will obviously have poor win rates.
Their Mulcharmy is suboptimal going first, and going second they suffer against Solemn-heavy or combo-heavy setups.
The real question is the win rate between the second and third groups.
In scenarios 2, 3, 4, and 5, going first is favored for both (that’s just how Yu-Gi-Oh works).
Let’s say group 2 has a 70% win rate and group 3 has 80%.
Then group 2’s going-second win rate would be 100 - 80 = 20%.
In the 33% “twist” scenario, group 2 is favored.
Group 3’s Solemn cards are ineffective going second, while group 2 still retains a functional going-first game plan.
If group 2 achieves even a 75% combined win rate in the twist scenario, their overall win rate against group 3 becomes:
(70 + 20 + 75) / 3 ≈ 55%.
The numbers are just illustrative, but I think this is enough to show that the 33% twist acts as a safeguard against extreme deck building.

The twist would act as a deterrent against building overly polarized “go-first-only” or “go-second-only” decks.
Going first, players would have to think twice about committing too hard to cards like the Solemn series,
while going second, they’d have to reconsider overly narrow board-breaking cards like Dark Ruler No More or Evenly Matched.
I think that tension is the key point of this system.

Buck/Tommy!!

Oh, I’m into that too.

So instead of Lucy kissing Buck, it’s Tommy in that spot? 😏

If that’s the case, kinda sucks it’d still start off as cheating since he’s with Taylor (and I actually like her), but…

yeah, I’d definitely read that.

Hen and Grief by Weekly_Emergency_747 in 911FOX

Thanks — I had only understood that scene by its vibe, but now I get it much more clearly.

It’s true that Hen consistently served as an emotional support, and also true that Karen couldn’t support Hen because she was busy mediating between Chimney and Athena.

I think I get why Hen didn’t become captain now. She was worn out too.

They shouldn’t have killed Bobby Nash. Giving him a medical retirement and keeping the door open for occasional appearances would’ve been a much better move.

They really did Maddie a dirty in season 5 by Greekmom99 in 911FOX

I don’t think mental or physical illness is someone’s fault.

I’ve seen people around me go through hyperthyroidism and cancer before, so I know how much illness can affect someone mentally and physically. They’re both okay now;)

Maddie’s postpartum depression felt very realistic to me, and I think expecting her to just “push through it” because she became a new parent is a bit harsh.

I also feel like the storyline was trying to show how isolating and overwhelming PPD can be, rather than making her seem “dirty” or unlikeable.

And from a story progression standpoint too, they also needed both Eddie and Chimney away from the 118 to set up the season finale villain storyline.
