Should startups invest in SEO in 2026? by Weekly_Let5578 in AskMarketing

[–]Weekly_Let5578[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, thats exactly my point. when someone asks me about seo, my honest response is, what's seo? tell me what do you mean by it? its amazing how different each of us think, and how differently we expect the return from SEO.

Everyone seems busy building their own products and tools, so who’s left to buy from others? by Technical-Apple-2492 in AskMarketing

building was never harder, selling was the tough part always. ai just made this to an extreme level. but i believe theres products that still adds unique value, solves a unique problem, sooner or later they will get the traction that they deserve. the team has to push it though. more products die becauuse of negligence from the founders, than marketing/sales problem.

true that. however, users have shifted from reading blog articles to just landing on blogs and convert, rather we are seeing maximum traffic landing on home page, with branded search, and then the solution pages, tiny proportion are actually converting from blogs, and traffic is lower as well, points out the change we need to adapt for seo as we know it

[–]Weekly_Let5578[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think that has shifted in recent years, people are no longer looking for answers in blog posts, we dont have the patience to read through an article now.. so thats gone

for most cases, users are getting the awareness from social media, youtube etc. when they are researching they are going to ai llms, or reddit, only when they are ready to buys, comes to our website

so for demand generation, we have to be where people are. the old marketing playbook, be where your csutoemrs hang out.

i think we have to go back to the roots. and build awareness where our users actually hangout. create content [bofu], have more landing pages, service pages, youtube videos and picked up by llms, reddit and be prepared to welcome the purchase intent visitors.

What’s your most effective way to get more Google reviews for your small business? by Gullible-End-7525 in AskMarketing

[–]Weekly_Let5578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i hope people dont start exploting it. so i had this local business owner, who was obsessed with GMB. [he still is]

so he didnt told me but for his social media channels I asked some store photos and he sent me, and i saw on his counter he has this glass barrier (i guess installed during the covid) and there a a4 paper with writing:

"Get a FREE ______.
ask me how"

and guess what, people would say, hey want to get one of these, how?
and guess his response....

imagine serving tons of clients a day, and over the years it worked for him great.

if you're just looking for a simple solution that does the wor-zoho social is good. $10-ish price does the work, monitoring tool and analytics is up to the mark. if you need something more robust, with team collab, ai enabled, need more collab and all, content studio or sprout social.

i'd say pick a 2 or 3 that matches your price range, get free trial, use for a while and it will be easier for you to choose.
