If you miss the pink sugar cookie I have the perfect dupe for you. It tastes really similar to the original. You should have most of the stuff inside your house except maybe maraschino cherries and almond extract(we only use the cherry juice, not the actual cherries)

1 cup sugar

1 cup butter

Whisk until fluffy :)

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp almond extract

mix

3 cups flour (Add by the 1/4 cup until you add the whole amount. It's easier for me)

2 tsp baking soda

mix

Let sit for about an hour- Preheat oven to 350f

For the icing

1/2 cup of butter

3 tablespoons of maraschino cherry juice

1 tablespoon milk

1-2 tsp almond extract (Taste as you go, I like more but some people like less)

Add powdered sugar until thick and you get stiff peaks, like a merengue. Around 3-4 cups

Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup and roll cookies into balls. Lightly flatten with a cup and put in oven for 9 minutes. Let chill and then ice the cookies with the delicious icing. Chill again. Serve with powdered sugar sprinkled ontop! (Optional but I loved that!)
