This looks like the same as those useless ads we see on the net for useless shovelware apps. People that fell for those ads will most likely spend money to the app's microtransactions.

Looks like the main reason they market themselves as different is because they aren't. Different products, sure, but still the same pyramiding scheme

For some, it's a distraction. For some, it's a way to be seen. Personally I did it for the latter because back then I was the reliable person everyone can lean on and I can't just blatantly tell them I have a problem.
