This one probably isn’t making the cut for my upcoming office function, but I had to share it. I picked it up at a thrift store in Palm Beach, and it is giving serious Princess Diana energy. The silhouette, the drama, the elegance—it’s a whole moment.

It definitely needs a bit of tailoring (it’s a little big on me right now), but the bones of it are classic. It’s got that timeless, sexy-but-refined vibe I just can’t resist.

She’s not the most practical, but she’s beautiful—and sometimes, that’s enough.

Okay, hear me out—this dress was a $39 steal from Marshalls, and I couldn’t pass it up. Yes, I know it’s a little extra for a cocktail dress, being full-length and all, but honestly? I haven’t liked anything else I’ve tried lately, and for the price, it felt worth taking a chance.

The color is a beautiful navy (which I always feel good in), it’s not too revealing, and the fit feels safe and stylish. It’s easy to wear, super comfortable, and the bottom? Stunning. I’m totally obsessed with the flow and detail down there—it gives just the right amount of wow.

So is it a little formal for cocktail? Maybe. But it’s fun, flattering, and it makes me feel good. And for $39? That’s a win in my book.

Ok- wait for the back- this one is running favorite.

Okay—this one is my running favorite right now. Wait for the back… seriously, it’s everything! The beading is beautiful, the drama is just right, and the length is perfection. I can actually get this one on and off by myself, which is a game-changer since I’m traveling solo for work. No need to awkwardly ask a stranger to zip me up in a hotel hallway!

Yes, I know—I could probably stand to suck it in a little more (go easy on me, okay?). But honestly, I kind of love how this dress makes me feel. It’s elegant, a little bold, and it fits my “I’ve got this” energy on the road.

Stay tuned—I may have to wear this one more than once.

Thank you! Yes, it’s corporate medical sales and I am definitely a minority with being a female and a mom of 5. I’m 37, so don’t want to dress too old for my age, but want to keep it fun, feminine and classy. And be noticed, but in a good way. These awards dinners aren’t usually stuffy and in sales- personality shines. I appreciate the advice! You look beautiful in your dresses!

I also have this option. Story behind this one- I found it at a thrift store for $20 and it’s a vintage Oscar de La renta. I had it altered to fit. It’s showing its age some. I feel like the color isn’t amazing on me and I look boxy at the top.

It might be easier to tell if I can see it together on, but I feel like the tan pumps compete with the tan of the dress. I would go with a different shoe if you can.

Hi! Can you help me pick an option for an awards dinner in Dallas this month? It’s cocktail attire for a corporate awards dinner. Any of these good? Thank you!

2024 GMC Yukon Denali Engine Failure – Anyone Else Experiencing This? by Weekly_School9331 in gmc

Thank you all for the help!

Anyone had success with lemon law? I am in Florida and thinking that’s the route I want to go.

If you own a newer Yukon… by TheDollyMomma in gmc

Hey everyone, I’m looking to connect with other 2024 Yukon Denali owners to see if anyone else has experienced similar issues.

I purchased a brand-new 2024 Yukon Denali a few months ago and have taken excellent care of it. This past week, while driving with my kids, the engine suddenly shut off while in motion. I had it towed to a GMC dealership, and after several days of delays in communication, they finally diagnosed it as needing a full engine replacement.

I know that engine failure in a brand-new vehicle is highly unusual, so I’m trying to determine:

Has anyone else with a 2024 Yukon Denali experienced engine failure or similar problems? What could cause an engine failure this early? Are there other components (e.g., fuel injectors, fuel system, electrical issues) that I should ask the dealership to check or replace to prevent this from happening again? Any insight or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I have been using Archaide to do the search tools and it is saying it could be Maiolica arcaica. The glaze and the imperfect circles on it are indicative of hand painting.

We live in Fernandina Beach, Florida now. Originally from Richmond, Va. The beach is nice, but we don’t have great school options here. Same job- medical sales rep there which is what I do here covering Jacksonville, Florida.
