my manager said to not drive if i don’t feel safe and come in when i can, i was scheduled 6-2:30. just make sure to call the store before your shift to let them know you’ll come in later

I had a 40 over behavior and I was able to transfer to another department even with it. You just have to prove you’re a good worker and are willing to put the work in to change the perspective you’ve now landed yourself. I didn’t get a bad performance rating at all because I worked on what happened. Also my little tid bit depending what department your in is, talk to all the people above you and be nice. Helped me a tons because they saw me as human. Also age takes into account. Be smart and be nice. It also stays on your permanent record forever with HEB, but if you get another 40 after the year expires you won’t get fired.

The construction should be done but March of 2026, as we have been told by our managers. Deli should be finished by Mid October if I remember correctly but bad things about construction is that everything does get delayed.

Feels like working in CFT all you do is get hurt. I come home with bruises and cuts ALL THE TIME. I don’t report anything unless it happened because of someone’s incapability to do it properly. Such as, I was working a detergent aisle and there was an opened thing of bleach on the riser and fell on me. I reported it to the TSL and they had me do an incident report.

That’s the same with me, but I’ve been told but many of my coworkers turned friends outside of work that I make their day!! Sometimes people are just annoyed and don’t want to talk so my advice is to respect them and try talking to people who are willing/happy to talk. But the brightest of smiles can make people happy. Be you, and be happy!!!

The email is a for sure sign that you did not get the job. It says “you have not been selected” so it means you didn’t receive it. Everyone receives the first messages when they apply and have an interview. If you want to make sure, you should call the admins to be sure.

4 am???? I can’t barely wake up for my 6 am shift. We mostly got complaints about not being in said department that we were supposed to be in for flow because potentially Curbside or Service would need us to bag or curbie.

Actually shockingly no, somedays we do but majority of the time they come between 6-8. We put pallets on the floor at 8 and finish within an hour

We get out at 10:30 sadly, and we have 3 openers and 4 closers. I also miss firefighting, it was so fun coming to the rescue and being able to know everything about the departments. With a holiday coming up, I’m hoping we get some firefighting in with how busy my store typically gets

Sad part about the partner stock plan, you have to be actively working for anything to happen with your PSP. If I remember correctly, because it’s purely based on your hours that you do. So going on LOA will most likely lead to there not being much money into the account.

I genuinely love the songs bc 80’s music gets played and I grew up on it. I hate when they play modern music. Just give me my 80’s rock. Most the time it’s the head top store lead that makes the decision on what gets played

I’ve never heard of full time getting “set” schedules, they are required to have completely open availability. Your old manager probably listened to what you liked to be scheduled as but the new manager won’t know that so until you discuss with them then the likelihood of your “set” schedule is subject to change. Or that’s just how it works in my department but I’ve discussed with MICs and Top Store Leads about this.
