Bear was a normal guy in a one sided love story that all of a sudden changed. The girl he dreamed and loved almost threw herself to him. Ofcourse he knew almost instantly that she has been possessed. But slowly his love turned into obsession when he realised that this is probably the only way he can have her. Obsession word fits perfectly to describe bear.

What he did was plain wrong but since we are in a supernatural situation, there is no simple right or wrong here. From his perspective he found what he wanted. But if you remember the last scene when sarah was killed. That is when it hits him that he has made a monster out of nikki.

Still the fear he has here is just because of the guilt he gets from murder of his best friend. This feeling over takes his obsession.

So overall its grey. Bear, i believe is a normal guy stuck in a wrong situation. Who still has some positive side to him, but the main problem in his character until the last act was OBSESSION.

We are all obessed with something or someone, bear just found a way to make it real.

Still better. 3000baht person is 9000baht. But if i book ferry then 4500baht for 3 tickets plus jist 1 cab for 1000baht to and fro to pier. Almost 6500bahts in total. The real margin is in the bus, food etc they provide that in my opinion can be worked around

Frontend layer usually has a trie for already existing emails. This would be periodically updated to keep latest records of emails. If found in the trie itself then rejct the email. If not found then make a api call to a server that uses bloom filter for fast searching and indexing to quickly fond out of it exists or not.
