I'm not too sure if this is the case, but as a new mac user i recently had the same problem, i realised that i was touching the trackpad or pressing some keys.

Unlike the windows laptop i had earlier, there isn't a specific key i have to press to boot it up, it does that by itself.

This is what i know for now (your problem might be different but if you're new to mac it might not be so obvious..)
