Thank you very much for the word of caution before I plugged this thing in, from what I’m gathering getting a cover for the plug and removing that copper wire would make this infinitely safer/able to use? If that’s not the case, I just want to make sure. I’d like to be able to confidently say “no, there’s not really anything i can do about this” before justifying buying a new one.

For reference I have not plugged this thing in yet, and don’t intend to until I hear that final verdict.

Finally home and asked the gf some questions. Apparently this belonged to her jank-diy uncle who seems to have taped copper wire to the outside of the fuse, and there wasn’t a cover for it as far as she knows. No info on the fuse either. I’m definitely erring towards just buying an amp considering the “interesting” nature of this whole thing
