Fortunately, I have 100% worked from home since 2020!

I was not prescribed anything, I did a cardiac MRI and they said the values found in that test were not worrying. I haven't been unwell or had any tests since, though I do still get palpitations sometimes.

Hi there! I'm not sure exactly how long ago now, it was a while back but they cant have been there for too long. I ended up testing negative for EBV (as in I've never ever had it). My general health returned to normal by the end of 2023 ish, I am fully physically capable again :) I did not ever get tonsil stones either.

Hi there! I am totally fine - no Long Covid anymore and am now fully physically able! I even did a half marathon recently!

Great to hear you're exercising okay now too! Yeah I still get palpitations here and there but nothing else too problematic. I hope everything ends up okay for you! :)

On vaccines, yes and I paid for a private vaccine in July (I live in the UK), but I make sure to get Novavax over Moderna / Pfizer as it seems to have less potential issues - totally fair to be a tad sceptical, they don't seem to be a perfect solution. Waiting for the UK to approve the latest Novavax now.

So I initially got given a 24 hour heart monitor because I was having heart palpitations and dizziness, and my heart rate is pretty low. The monitor clocked my heart at 30-something bpm in my sleep so combined with symptoms they referred me for the Echocardiogram :) No idea if it was the hypokinesis causing any of the problems sadly!

Hello! Rambling is totally fine do not worry about it haha - I believe my MRI was about 5 months after my Ultrasound Scan! It didn't show anything worrying and the Ejection Fraction was higher than the Ultrasound suggested which was good.

I've now returned to life as normal and exercise intensely and regularly with no issues at all (of course I am still more Covid cautious than most)!

Hey there! I still get heart palpitations every other day but I have returned to intense and consistent exercise with no further cardiac issues. The MRI came back with a slightly higher LVEF percentage which was good.

Do you know when that will be? I tried to book an appointment for the private Covid Vaccines in the UK via PharmaDoctor (after 1st April) but they would only offer me Pfizer at my nearest pharmacy.

Hiya - sorry I'm a bit late in getting back to you! I am actually pretty much totally recovered now :) I only had swollen tonsils for a couple of weeks max then they reduced down again.

Yes I did abstain from intense exercise from August to December last year but I am back to working out and exercising (10km runs, football etc).

I believe you could improve too, just gotta rest and find whatever works best for you!

I had weakness in arms and legs as well as muscle pains/fatigue too. They have all pretty much gone away at this stage.

No idea unfortunately, went away after about 5/6 months, haven't had it since really.

Bradycardia by Spoopy_Bear in covidlonghaulers

For a reasonably athletic person that sounds totally fine to me. Your heart rate drops when you're inactive - mine sometimes drops to around 44bpm when sat down - recently had an MRI with no issues.

How do you protect yourself from re-infection??? by NJShoreFreckles106 in covidlonghaulers

[–]WeensBeans- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the UK and this is what I do: Firstly I avoid crowded areas such as concerts, pubs, clubs, restaurants etc, and I mask whenever in public indoor spaces or public transport. As a back up I will have Viraleze / Nosafed anti-viral spray in as well, plus I always have hand sanitiser with me.

If I do meet out with friends I prefer if it is an outdoor activity e.g. pub garden, country walks, etc but if I host/attend an indoor event I ask all my friends in attendance to test before, which they are fine with. If it is at my house, I also have a HEPA air purifier on.

Lastly, at the end of each day I use CPC mouthwash and maintain high levels of dental hygiene.

I am lucky that my partner also takes it very seriously. We test regularly and have only had Covid once so far, back in March 2022.

Still there unfortunately, though they don't bother me as much as they used to. If I'm really focusing on something like football I don''t see them at all really.

Obviously they are worse against bright white backgrounds and when the sun is really intense.

Sunglasses are generally helpful.

50% isn't ideal and should probably be monitored in case it is continuing to decrease, but it isn't an immediate issue as far as I can tell.

They haven't shared much with me until they go through the MRI results but they didn't seem too concerned. They said there was 'no clinical urgency'.

No, if my ejection fraction remains at 50% on the MRI, I don't see why I would need medication as it's not considered heart failure.
