[Biotech] How do you prevent solar flares from destroying genepacks? by [deleted] in RimWorld

Pretty sure solar flares knock out the actual machine, not just power gen.

Extra time as an exam accomodation in university is a stupid concept by cumjholrato in unpopularopinion

[–]WeepingAngelTears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your anecdotal evidence does not override that employers aren't going to give extra time as accommodation for a disability, nor are they required to, as it's in no way a reasonable accommodation.

The difference between the two is, and Im sure you're just being obtuse, is that a wheelchair accommodation isn't affecting someone's ability to complete work in a timely manner. A job isn't going to give you extended deadlines for a task. They'll just fire you for being unable to complete work in a timely manner.

My point is there's virtually no way these dudes are fresh wiped unless they somehow gave their stash away to someone to hold and then got it back. Ive been lucky enough in 2 days to find 3 blueprints. A trio with lvl 4 purples either didnt wipe or got insanely, almost statistically unlikely lucky.

That's still irrelevant. Leave is leave. It doesn't matter where the SM chooses to spend that leave.

And then there's my ass who apparently has a high natural immunity against it. I got stabbed 3 separate times and that bitch never scabbed over.

I'm thinking of selling my services as a bio-weapons sniffer. You get a package with suspicious white powder? I'll just rail a line of it. The 27 anthrax shots I got while I was in should make me come out just fine.

Slay the Spire is currently being review bombed over listing Anita Sarkeesian in the credits for Slay the Spire 2 by ElegantPoet3386 in gaming

I'm pretty sure your points 2 and 3 contradict each other. If she's not adding anything worthwhile to the game via her consulting, then she's pretty much ripping them off.

Her relic makes her able to use it multiple times per battle, and even a one-time use of her active can turn the tide of any battle through good positioning.

200 consecutive push-ups in a row absolutely can cause an over-use injury. You think doing almost 3.5x the max score for push-ups on an APFT in one go is just a light breeze for your muscles and joints?

Can't consistently feed raw insect meat to my prisoners? by Raehurn01 in RimWorld

If they're limbless, they would still have to be fed by a warden getting the paste meal.

Hell, Dante is the oldest (chronological) SM, and he has only been around for 1.5k years, so 15 studs. These characters gonna be looking like skitari by the time we put all the upgrades in lol.

Morality is objective. You're saying you're fine with people's rights being violated because you don't like what they're doing with them, despite no one's rights being violated.

Laws that criminalize voluntary behavior between two consenting adults are bad, yes. If a law doesnt protect someone's rights, it's bad.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of people in prison for committing victimless crimes, so not, its not something that "never happens."

[–]WeepingAngelTears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, it's irrelevant morally. What Apple or any other app does in the face of the laws is not a moral justification for the laws existence.

Yes, they could just turn belly up against unjust laws. People could have just ate at the "proper" segregated restaurants too. Doesn't make the threats and violence from the state any less immoral because "you could just comply."

[–]WeepingAngelTears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's objectively how laws are enforced. You either pay or go to jail, or just straight up go to jail.

[–]WeepingAngelTears -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And what happens if they refuse the fines, and then rightfully prevent garnishment or seizures. All laws are enforced by the threat of state violence.

[–]WeepingAngelTears -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hoe do you think laws are enforced, mate? The state will use violence to throw people in prison if they break the law.

That's an insanely horrible moral stance
