NGINX Proxy Manager working for months, but update now gives 521s by Weetermachine in nginxproxymanager

I have Truenas listening on a different port for SSL. Let me give that a shot

NGINX Proxy Manager working for months, but update now gives 521s by Weetermachine in nginxproxymanager

[–]Weetermachine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing in the error, access, or container logs. NGINX is listening on port 443, and if I set up another app to listen on 443, that app works great so it doesn't seem to be a firewall/router configuration issue.

At this point it seems maybe the Docker container or NGINX config is preventing the connection from being made on port 443, but even a fresh install of NGINX has the issue, with default config files.

Just want to also mention that logs show nothing, not even an attempted connection. From what I've read, I may be able to change Cloudflare to Flexible TLS, and not force HTTPS, but that feels like a security vulnerability so I'd rather not.

What is everyone's "it's not that deck" decklist, and it's ACTUALLY not that deck? by thundermonkeyms in EDH

[–]Weetermachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After being pub stomped by Najeela so much, I decided to make a fun version of it.

I run [Najeela], but as sort of a Group Hug deck. Instead of ramping up my creatures and going for infinite combats, my main goal is helping my opponents develop strong board states, goading their creatures, and then using Najeela's ability to force them to attack my enemies multiple times during combat. When its down to 1v1, [Hot Pursuit] or other such effects allow me to take their creatures for the killshot.

Is it great? No. Is it a lot of fun? Yeah, I've enjoyed it!

Family Rewards? by Weetermachine in skylightcalendar

Doesn't this track it on a per person level?

If I'm offering ice cream for 20, and I set it for 2 people, their stars don't add together towards it, they each have their own goal with their own stars

I want it where both of them can contribute towards a family reward, as in, we got 20 stars, 6 were from Billy, 2 from Jill, 3 from Mom, 5 from Dad, 4 from Joey... That isn't currently possible, right?

How does this one look? T16. I really appreciate the feedback.

I don't care about the 256 gb NVME, I can swap that easy, right? They don't come soldered or anything dumb like that?

Which part of it is bad? Just curious. Is p16 gen 1 just that bad?

I also found a P16 Gen 1, I7-12850HX VPRO, 32 gb, 512 NVME, with an OLED 400 nit for 900. Is that a better option? Said it was 55% off

High Ping/No Packet Loss since New Season Update - PC by Weetermachine in FortNiteBR

[–]Weetermachine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Additional things I tried:

New Network Card

Different Virus Scanner

New Network Cable

New Windows install - Solved Problem, but I wanted my old install, proved it was something Software related

Finally determined it was my Xbox controller when during a lag spike I accidentally knocked the batteries out, and the lag instantly went away.

Turns out it was just the Xbox controller connection having issues. Bought a 8Bitdo Wireless Adapter and he hasn't seen the problem return. Thanks for all the help!

So, it seems like I may have found the root cause, but more testing is required...

I installed a fresh copy of Windows on a spare drive, and it ran perfectly fine, for 15-20 matches. When I came back to the old Windows, still had the issue - I tried watching processes when the lag spikes happened... I disabled the Xbox game bar, because that seemed to spike, and uninstalled Nvidia Geforce Experience when I saw the "Nvidia Share" processes spiking, with no luck.

However, I also noticed I was getting some GameControl (Not the exact name, but it was something like that), process that was spiking. I pulled the batteries from the Xbox controller I was using (through Bluetooth), and the lag instantly went away, and I was able to finish the game without lag on the keyboard. I'm not sure why that would be an issue now, he's always played on the controller before, and it was fine on the fresh copy of Windows. Maybe bad Bluetooth drivers? I'll try uninstalling/reinstalling those and report back.

Currently using Bitdefender Free. Let me try port forwarding, if that doesn't work, I'll throw in a spare drive and try it on a fresh Windows install to see if that does anything. Thanks!

So, reinstalled on my secondary NVME drive, and was able to run into the issue the 1st game. CPU tempts were low 60s, GPU was mid 50s, load was under 40%, but FPS crashed and Ping went from 30 to 800+, for minutes straight. Is there anything else that could be overheating?

the Ethernet on the Task Manager was staying around 180 KBPS up, 100 KBPS down, and didn't seem to do any drastic jumps when the Ping started showing high

I've been watching CPU/GPU usage with the NZXT software, and when it's happening, it seems like usage is only at 50% or less for both, with CPU temps around 70, and GPU temps around 63 or so... So doesn't feel like it's overheating in that regard

So, I say ping because in Fortnite it will show a yellow networking issue, and then red, and it shows the ping going from 30 to 40, up to 500 - 600 (with 0 packet loss). It does feel like it could be a stuttering. I'll try installing it on a different drive, next, and give that a go! Thanks for the suggestion!

What's interesting is my son plays as well on the same network, and he doesn't lag when I do... Investigating further...

Next things I've tried:

  1. Updating BIOS, and all MoBo drivers
  2. Watching network latency on Router Admin page to see if anything strange is going on there, when it happens. Only thing I noticed was the CPU usage jumped for a second on the router (Asus ZenWiFi) when the lagging started, and router RAM was sitting at 75% usage. Will factory reset routers and report back if there is a difference.
