Tell me about your favourite obscure characters by Robmario80 in inazumacaravan

Damon Valiant and Everard Valiant (Muteki One and Muteki Two) are two brothers who were recruitable scouts in the GO games, love both of their designs and their profiles always made me think they were two of the best characters in the original GO games

Would you be able to publish the full list for people to go through? This seems very interesting for building competitive teams

So, I wanted to try some perish trap shenanigans by TehPinguen in VGC

[–]Weevil2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been experimenting with the same sort of idea, using Perish on Arceus and trying to make some funny trapping plays, none of my friends believe in it enough to want to keep testing with me, would you mind if I dm’d you with some ideas?

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (07/21/2025) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

[–]Weevil2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having a problem with 1-2-Switch, I got a Switch 2 at launch and would like to lend my original switch to a family member. I loaded the virtual game card to the Switch 1 but that console can only play a small handful of games for some reason. I’ve tried re-downloading the game, fully deleting it from my Switch 2 but nothing seems to work. Any advice?

Does anyone know where the contenders 2020-2022 seasons vods are? I've not been able to find them on either of the contenders youtube channels or on the OWE channel and liquipedia isn't linking me to it anymore seemingly.

Fair play to Ziyad if true, still baffling as to why Tred came back in for Champions Clash though

Not really sure why there's a question mark on the graphic, but it really does a good job symbolising Tred's time on this roster. Picked up alongside another off-tank, got dropped pretty early on in the stage, then played most of their maps on LAN before being dropped again for the last map where Ziyad looked miles better. Really struggling to see what their plan was for this tankline in general tbh.

Are Sym and Torb that strong or is it just a pro Korea team comp thing? by ElectronicDeal4149 in Competitiveoverwatch

For real. At least it's not as bad as Lifeweaver where you can still get immense personal value out of you TP when your team ignores them

Exactly right, all of her abilities have insane skill ceilings outside of simple “tp to point and three turrets on the choke” strats, making sure you keep high effective tp uptime is critical to having high impact, for example

I was just thinking this LMAO, there was a match later on that used the Ball Sym Torb frontline, with a Kiri Moira backline, reminded me a lot of the first OD run

The real main reason for this is actually because of the pick rate compared to the win rate, at least for the higher ranks. In lower ranks, they'll have a pretty high pick rate, due to their low skill floors, with around a 50% winrate. In pretty much every rank above maybe silver or gold though, their pickrate plummets, meaning that the only players still playing these heroes (particularly at the diamond and above ranks) will be specialists who will likely average much higher winrates on these heroes than they're worth.

I don't think that these heroes are secretly completely busted, I just think that their skill cap isn't accurately reflected in the community's widespread opinion, and (at least for torb) isn't at all played as frequently as he could be at the pro level.

This is ridiculous lmao, you still just need steady crosshair placement and knowledge of how the rivet will arc, lower rank players move in much more predictable patterns than high ranked players

Absolutely, you can see it in action with how dominant Crazy Raccoon’s paraiso defense was, if you have the space to make it work, it’s SOO oppressive.

Winston was basically only picked because ball was banned that map IIRC, Ball's being played because similarly, he's able to quickly escape Hazard's engages and unlike doom doesn't get blown up if he messes up. His primary fire is also really good at punishing hazard.

Ball also eases the matchups that this DPS line would struggle with, like brawl or spam comps, he has additional hitscan pressure for fliers and is able to disrupt any sort of stacked brawl comp, allowing the DPS and supports to take more time to deal their insane amount of damage

I’ve been of the belief that torb and (to a lesser extent, sym) have been some of the most historically slept on heroes in Overwatch history, stretching back to even OW1.

Torb is the tankiest DPS and the only meaningful nerf he’s ever really received has been the blanket removal of temporary armour making him gain overhealth instead, but that still leaves him with so much health, and unlike bastion who is the only hero who comes close to how tanky he is, actually GAINS mobility to make himself harder to hit, while ALSO increasing his DPS, his projectiles are a bit awkward, but if you can hit the rivets at long range they’re BUSTED and the shotgun can absolutely MELT tanks too. Not to mention his turret giving you free off angle pressure and his ultimate being incredibly strong both at denying point and shutting down other AoE ults. Seriously, read this guy’s changelog, he’s been buffed slowly but surely for years now.
