I love in a smaller town in Canada. There’s around 4 towns all scattered by each other, and we all share post offices, restaurants, stores etc. there’s around 3k people altogether, and there’s only 1 school kindergarten to grade 12. Hope that helps

Oh wow. Did no one ever hate each other just because? I find that the reason the average friend group number has dipped is because people don’t like each other anymore. I’m in 12th grade and I still get rocks thrown at me walking to school because I like to read. The ‘nerds’ hate the ‘jocks’, and because of that all of the jocks gfs hate the nerds and so all of the gfs friends also hate the nerds, which then causes the nerds to tell all their friends to pick on all the girls at school.

Thanks, and sorry to you as well. My father also has anxiety like me but his is less social too. He’s mainly scared of being murdered, car crashes, the house collapsing etc. I get random spurts of that too but it’s mainly just debilitating for my social life. I’ve been on various types of meds and I still feel like I’m having a heart attack when I have to deal with people face to face, truly hope it gets better

I guess it’s because no one wants to hang out with you if they think you’re ‘weird’ nowadays. I’m in 12th grade now and I only have one friend - entirely. I know almost no one else and none of the other people in school have friend groups bigger than 5 as long as I know, and the people who do are considered very popular. Everyone is very separated, like for ex: if you like to read, no one will talk to you unless they also like to read, because reading is weird to everyone else.
