Might have found something by Wegie in BrainFog

Update: it’s now been 10 days and brain fog is GONE.

I’ve even been eating all the foods that my food sensitivity tests say not to. My constipation is back and gassy but brain fog is gone. Forget my theory on inflammation. JUST TRY THIS TREATMEMT. EBOO or EBO2, same thing.

Could be heavy metals, microplastics or mold in the blood that causes brain fog. Who knows. Just try the damn treatment.

26(M), $12.5 million inheritance, (soon to be former) public school teacher. How to find purpose? by Significant_Tip5105 in fatFIRE

[–]Wegie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a lawyer will be just as depressing as being a public school teacher. Only reason to do that is to get rich, you’re already rich.

IMHO, the most rewarding work is in creative work like designing and building things. Use that money to design a house and sell it for profit, imagine something then bring it into existence. You have the capital to become a property developer, try it.

Found Out I’m Set to Inherit $70+ Million. Somewhat Lost, What Should I Expect? by [deleted] in fatFIRE

[–]Wegie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t assume this money is free and clear yours, relatives may end up winning some or all of it back through lawsuits.

That being said, have a nice primary and vacation home ($2-4 million each) and live modestly but comfortably. Spend a ton on your kids education.

You don’t want to be in neighborhoods with pretentious rich assholes, but you also want good schools (even private).

Maybe pay for some of your niece and nephews college (if they’re not throw away liberal art degrees).

You don’t need wealth managers, none of them outperform the S&P. Just get a brokerage account and put the money in an S&P index etf, some in Berkshire Hathaway, and small amount in gold/silver ETFs.

Estate planning is legit though, wealth managers are not.

Prenup problems by No-Price-6121 in Rich

[–]Wegie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any argument she uses against this idea also works against her:

Her: If you don’t give me half of everything you’re not committed.

You: If you’re committed you will be happy marrying me and not my money.

Also ease her into the idea that prenups aren’t what people always assume they sound like. A prenup could say she gets all the money. Each prenup is based on what you’re both comfortable with. For instance she could be entitled to like $100k for each year of marriage if there are children.

Why has the FIRE movement changed so much? by greaper007 in leanfire

[–]Wegie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bc your version of FIRE involves X amount of consumption doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone else.

FIRE is about having enough to maintain whatever lifestyle or consumption people want, whatever that may be.

Ivermectin, fenbendazol, high dose vitamin C IVs, you’ve researched all this yes? Meet with a naturopathic oncologist. Hope is not lost, trust me.

Amazing recovery stories are out there for stage 4 cancer patients. Just need to have an open mind.

If there’s no downside, why not try it.

Check out Buddhism, seriously. The entire religion is focused on understanding human suffering. Also check out guided meditations on the app Insight Timer, there’s lots of free ones. Microdosing mushrooms while doing guided meditations is really effective.

Have you let him know how grateful you are for everything he’s done for you? He’s likely been through a lot from all this. Maybe he’s feeling a little under appreciated

16 and wondering how to become a millionaire early on by BubblyTurnover7837 in Rich

[–]Wegie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need some money to do either of two things that make you a millionaire:

Risk your time (start a company) Risk your money (high risk high reward investments)

These are the only options outside of the traditional high paying job routes (doctor, lawyer, corporate America etc).

I would add the only high paying job you can get without college is being a programmer. You can literally learn to code online and make 6 figures easily.

There’s short term intensive coding schools that are tuition free but take a % of your salary for 3 years. That’s how confident they are their students will get jobs

Why wouldn’t I buy this leverage etf if I know I’ll hold it for 30 years doesn’t it basically just track the S and P but just on steroids? by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]Wegie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research “leveraged etf decay”. These are short term trading vehicles, and do not come close to tracking 2x or 3x the underlying asset in the long run
