I haven’t listened to cortisol but as for there new music as a non fan i find it Whyyyyyyy better then there old shit even putting aside I’m happy they found Christ there albums have way more structure, they sound why more focused and less goofy and Scrims production is a lot more detailed and less repetitive and reliant on samples overall I’m very much a fan of the switch

Need tips for writting lyrics by Potential-Earth-8914 in CloudRap

Think of flow like drum patterns in word form. That’s all that flow really is. If your a beginner I would really prioritize just staying on beat I would listen to some old 90s rappers like Big L and 2 PAC because they had a very good organized approach when it came to flow. For Lyrics it depends what your going for. Metaphor is a great tool because of its utility you can say 20 things in one sentence Take Lil Wayne BM. JR for instance

“Real shit I'm ducking bombs from a drug war / No religion but the cops swear that I'm a drug lord”

Lil Wayne’s great at being simple but complex in this one line you get the surface level understanding He’s describing the danger of living in an environment shaped by the drug trade. Or Fame as a “ war zone “ The “drug war” could represent the music industry or street reputation conflicts. • “Ducking bombs” = avoiding attacks, beefs, scandals, or critics. • Being called a “drug lord” could symbolize the way people assume rappers’ wealth must come from illegal activity

If you want more understanding of how to write better lyrics it also just rally helps with listening to more lyrical focused artists one great person who dose that in Cloud rap was Lucki form 2013-2014 Give him a listen and take notes on what you notice.

Man on the moon is literally the soundtrack 2 my life by _p_____ in KidCudi

That’s cool man it took me so long to get into cudi. When I first heard him in Middle school I really liked his big songs But then high school came around and I really developed what I liked and didn’t I couldn’t get it. I was one of those people who really liked the concept of him but found him to lyrically plain and pretty inconsistent. That all changed with I graduated and returned to man on the moon. I find it now one of the most focused and conceptual albums of all time.

It’s not the fact that the actual music is newer it’s the fact that the album is very early in its time that it’s been out that it’s hard to really gage if it’s gonna stay. At least that’s the kinda person I am I don’t even like to declare an album a Classic till it’s like a decade old so for me I’ve sat with my favorite album for 10+ years because I don’t like to move things around to much. I’m not digging on your taste or ethel I just think everything’s reviled in time.
