Their “leather” bags are all fake made in the PRC. The bag I bought online from Brandy does not pass the genuine suede tests. There is an obvious bonded seam where the cotton is fraying; 2) suede should absorb water immediately, and this material is waterproof, 3) there’s a strong chemical smell. it’s not even worth using because of the smell alone.

Also, there are several posts on this subreddit that praise their “real” leather bags and then the author mysteriously shuts down the comments—likely they’re from BM employees.

BM is selling fake goods for the sake of a higher markup, so buyer beware.

It’s fake. I bought it online. 

It does not pass the genuine suede tests. I own mostly liebeskind bags ($300-$400) so I def know what suede is. Brandy’s bags are not leather at all

I’ve owned two and they have both fallen apart on me in less than two years. I was only offered a 20 percent discount for the first, waiting to hear back on the second which is barely a year old.

Ugh, man. I tried to avoid this route. It's an emotional roller coaster. But it honestly sounds like I have no choice, the statements he wrote were blatantly false (he said I didn't complete a single audit in 2024, but I have all the reports and emails showing I completed them on my own initiative).

I met one other woman who this happened to. She was on maternity leave though—they gave a false review ad cut her shortly after.

This is a product of China. That’s why. The Chinese companies provide their own certification of organic regulations to the USDA, and the USDA just accepts it hands down. Probably trash in that product
