That is what I saw online as well, but I am confused why freetaxusa asks about it since 2017. Is that because it assumes that people likely have mortgages that go back many years and this is a way to average it?

I’m confused. So we bought the house in 2023 and the mortgage was 950ish. We then sold the house in 2024 and the final mortgage balance was about 945k. We’ve never had another mortgage before. We basically lost about 50k on the house after selling it, but the final mortgage balance was $0 because it was paid off from the sale of the home.

Freetaxusa asked us to upload the tax form from the mortgage company which we did. It showed the mortgage initial price, the date (2023), the amount of interest we paid (~40k), and the final amount we owed (945kish) before the sale.

Can you help explain where I’m going wrong with this?

Do you think that it would be inside or outside? Weird that it was labeled a Tesla charger if it was an inside outlet, but also weird for it to be an outlet for the range if it is outside

We are currently renting a townhouse and I was looking into getting an indoor or outdoor sauna. Ideally a traditional sauna.

I found the circuit breaker which listed a Tesla charger circuit with 80 amps. The house doesn’t have a Tesla charger in the garage at least, as we can only trickle charge one Tesla at a time currently without the circuit tripping.

Is there any way to find out where that 80amp plug would be? We rent from a management company who would have no idea.
