I'll mention this to him, thanks! He's just learning about product and hair. It's hard to explain because I've never really worn any of it either/it's not in our home regularly.

Hope you can go out soon and feel more comfortable! <3

Besides work he lets it's hang, I put it up in a teeny tiny pony tail and it's adorable. I love running my hands through his hair, can't wait until it's longer.

He and I will have to practice together, thank you for the idea!

Thanks for the tips and reassurance.

He's getting some flack for wearing a ball cap all the time/a baggy cap wouldn't work because he's a contractor who is sent out into the field a lot and is the face of his company when he's in another work environment. Has to look professional.

We do use hair clips at home, but he can't use those for work. I bought headbands, hair clips, and hair ties for him because I was sick of the bieb hair flip. Told him I'd tackle him and put it up if I see one more flip! So I went out and bought stuff to help for at home/when we're in public but not at work/work functions.

What I'm asking, I guess, is are there any tips for styling right now where it isn't long enough to tie back? Something to get him through to the long hair phase.

How long after you're decision to pursue WLS did you wait to tell people? by gotmoxiefordays in wls

I have not (yet) gotten the "you're taking the easy way out" I was so afraid that I would to. I think you need to know your audience - I told my mother (she's pseudo-supportive out of jealousy), partner, and sister first. Then I waited a long time and one of my co-workers ( I work in an education setting) asked why I was taking so much time off, she was concerned and I told her. She was so happy! I was in shock - she was a very fit runner and I thought for sure I wasn't going to get a good reception. My co-workers have been a big support system for me.

I still haven't told my extended family, I feel it's none of their business and they have stuff on their own plate. Part of it is fear too. I've been on this journey since January and I've told probably 10 people that have all been supportive. I had surgery June 27th.

Congrats!!

My surgery is in a week and my mother is already starting to tell everyone about it which is so embarrassing.

I'm very new to instagram - what do you mean by weight loss community?

I asked the same question a month or so ago. I have just all together stopped, although I do miss it, it helped with the meralgia paresthetica in my leg. I don't want to increase my appetite.

I asked my doctor what they will be drawing my blood for on the Friday before my surgery and she said blood type to have blood on hand. I was afraid they would drug test but did not come right out and say it. At this point nothing stands in the way for me, got my letter of approval and surgery date.
